A New Day a New Leaf?

We did change one thing today. We've decided to let him drink from a bottle while we change him into his pjs and read the stories to him. Then we will put him in his crib without the bottle. The bedtime bottle will be the last to go and will gradually get smaller until there isn't one. Tonight that worked very well. He cried for 10 minutes and went to sleep.

Today's Trial (amount of time to fall asleep)
Nap: 30 minutes
8:00- 10 minutes
5:00- Wake up for day

Way to go kiddo! That's 9 hours straight.

Awesome for you guys! Here's hoping you're past the hard part. You may just get a few full nights sleep before the newest member arrives.

Bless your heart.
I haven't check the blog for a few days and didn't know about the new changes. My best wishes and prayers are with you. I know you are doing the right thing and Dean will benifit from your training and love. If it brings you any comfort, think genetics. Dean comes from a long line of insomiacs on the MacDougall line. Many were the emails I received from his great grandfather posted at 2 or 3 in the morning. Yet he lived to the ripe old age of 89, so he must have been doing something right to live a long and healthy life. And his other great grandpa Ray kept wierd hours too - first as a fireman and then, in retirement years, he'd be up in the wee hours of the morning while I shamelessly stayed in bed and let him take care of Lucas and Sarah!
